Bhuvaneswari Reveals Prostitute Tamil Heroines List

Actress Bhuvaneswari, who had starred in films like ‘Boys’ and ‘Middle Class Madhavan’, was arrested recently by the Chennai city police from her Adyar residence on charges of indulging in ‘prostitution’. While publishing the news of her arrest along with a photograph of her, a news daily had also brought out the names of the actresses ‘revealed’ by Bhuvaneswari as those who are into the flesh trade.

This has irked the Nadigar Sangam, to which actors and actresses owe their allegiance, which has demanded action against the daily for publishing news that might tarnish the image of the said actresses. Natesan, manager of Nadigar Sangam, went to the chief minister’s office yesterday and submitted a formal petition seeking action against the daily in question.

Many leading actors and actresses, who met at the Sangam’s building, decided to submit a complaint with the city police commissioner on the matter. In their memorandum, they have stated that ’some of the’ news items appearing in a section of the press have been ‘maligning’ the image of the actresses and that it seemed a ‘pre-planned’ act on the part of the daily. Therefore, action needed to be initiated against the daily in question, they demanded.

Sarath Kumar, president of the Nadigar Sangam, said that possibilities will be explored for taking legal action against the daily for publishing ‘false news’ about the actresses. “The daily is bound to give explanation about the basis on which they published the list of actresses allegedly in the ‘flesh trade’, purportedly given by the arrested actress. How did they manage to get access to the information the actress is said to have told the Police? We would file defamation case against the daily, for sure!” thundered Sarath.

On Wednesday (7th October), an emergency meeting of the Sangam will be held at the Sangam’s premises in Chennai. Protests will also be held against the daily for ‘maligning’ members of the Sangam, Sarath Kumar added.
